# [Demo mode and weather station calibration](https://help.vineyardelf.com/nowosci/demo-mode-and-weather-station-calibration.md)

## Demo mode

Demo mode lets you test the weather models against different locations without affecting your own vineyard's data:

- **Predefined locations**: Australia (Hunter Valley), Poland (Sandomierz), France (Bordeaux), USA (Napa Valley), South Africa (Stellenbosch), Argentina (Mendoza), New Zealand (Marlborough)
- **My vineyard (OpenMeteo)**: Simulates OpenMeteo data for your own location - useful when you don't have a physical weather station

### How to enable demo mode

1. Go to **Settings** in VineyardElf
2. Tick the **Demo mode** checkbox
3. Pick a location from the list
4. Save your settings

## Station calibration

The calibration panel lets you compare readings from a physical Ecowitt station against OpenMeteo forecasts:

- **Comparison chart**: Ecowitt temperature vs OpenMeteo
- **Statistics**: mean difference, correlation, RMSE
- **Insights**: automatic recommendations for calibrating your station

### Accessing calibration

Click **Station calibration** in the VineyardElf sidebar.

## Interactive location map

In **Settings** you'll find an interactive satellite map:
- Click the map to set your vineyard's location
- Drag the marker to fine-tune the position
- The location name is filled in automatically
