Photos and notes for vineyard rows

This feature lets you document the condition of your vineyard right at the rows - photos of diseases, pests and damage, plus voice notes to listen back to later.

How it works

  1. QR codes - every row has its own QR code that you can print out and attach to a post
  2. Scan with your phone - scan the code with your camera and the row’s page opens
  3. Adding attachments - tap “Add” and choose a photo or recording
  4. Automatic GPS - the location is read from JPEG photos that contain GPS data

Attachment types

  • 📷 Photos - visual documentation, automatically compressed into thumbnails
  • 🎤 Voice notes - recordings to listen back to or transcribe later
  • 📎 Files - PDF documents, notes

Tags (categories)

Label your attachments with tags to make filtering easier:

  • Disease - disease symptoms
  • Pest - pest damage
  • Irrigation - irrigation problems
  • Replanting - spots that need replanting
  • Damage - mechanical damage
  • Growth - growth stages
  • Harvest - harvest documentation
  • Observation - general observations

Printing QR codes

  1. Open the row’s page (click a row in the list)
  2. Click “Print QR” next to the code
  3. Print it and laminate it or slip it into a plastic sleeve
  4. Attach it to the row’s post

Tips

  • Take close-up photos for better quality
  • Use tags consistently
  • Voice notes are great when your hands are dirty
  • GPS only works with photos taken on a phone (not from a scanner)
